atleast you should be, because last night, I saw the Klaxons!
Live, as in: not on notebook screen or via the stereo.
The whole f'ing world probably already had this pleasure, but I lacked this one for the last two years, so bow to me! need to feel special about this.
Anyway, it was f'ing awesome, f'ing hot, f'ing crowded, as an ordinary, but fantastic Klaxons concert is supposed to be!

deceiving distractions

So I'm back after a week full of bands, music, rain and no time for blogging, for which I feel really sorry. Actually I shouldn't spend my time blogging, because my finals are only a few days ahead and the stuff I should be learning hasn't quite made it into my mind.

Anyway, how has been my festival weekend? It was very hot, very wet and absolutely f'ing amazing! I wasn't able to see all of the bands I've listet last week due to physical weakness, but it was f'ing awesome anyway. Especially the Muse concert was over the top. I'm such a huge sucker for Muse as I am for The Strokes, so I was completely freaking out by every song they played, every move that Matt Bellamy did on stage and every guitar solo he played(and those were quite a few). The Cribs have been freakingly amazing, too, at one o'clock in the afternoon, only 30-40 people around, having space to dance and jump, it was almost incredible. I recall the Kaiser Chiefs to have made a very entertaining show such as German rock band the Beatsteaks(for those who don't know about them, check out a concert) aswell as Mando Diao and The Fratellis. The only band that merely disappointed me were The White Stripes. What, The White Stripes???, you may be thinking, utterly shocked. Yes, their show was boring, unnerving.....- or maybe I was too exhausted or had too high expectations, I dunno. It simply wasn't as good asa medium White Stripes fan that I am would have expected.
Anyway I found two other exciting b-sides, whatsoever in my iTunes-library that I haven't posted last week for to me unknown reasons, so I'll do it now:

Anyway, it has been a very fun weekend, being happily distracted from my upcoming finals and the following mind-destroying partys afterwards. I should start learning right now, but:

The Indelicates have a new single coming up, called Julia We Don't Live In The Sixties.
You may know this band from their popular tune Waiting For Peter Doherty To Die with it's rather dodgy content and unexpected fame.Even though the band's opinion about a certain drug addict's right, I just can't get along with that song. So much the better they have other superiorly songs than the one above. Julia We Don't Live In The Sixties is one of them, aswell as Sixteen. Their sound lingers between straight indie rock, gospel and scottish patriotic theme likewise tunes, which makes it more unique than I first thought. The band had a German aswell as a UK EP release in January called The Last Significant Statement To Be Made In Rock and Roll which can be purchased here. I'll tell more about the single releases, when there are more information about it to be found.

My opinion: Yeah, somehow, they're right. The Dead Bohemes, do sound similar to my favourite band. Somehow, Germany itself managed to give the indie-scene an excellent rock band. Hard to believe, because Germany, from my point of view, can barely win an award concerning good indie-bands(excluding The Robocop Kraus, of course). Well, the quality of their songs on myspace isn't the best, but I'll look for something better on the internet, as soon as the A-Level will be over(Tomorrow!!!). However, I like the indifference, that the songs display,especially the voice, just likeThe Strokes have in theirs. Of course, this new band cannot reach up to the worlds-best rock band(yeah, they are!), but one has to see the things a bit more optimistic.
I think, this will be fine for a live gig.
This can only be a good sign, because them plus three other bands will be coming to Wiesbaden in about three weeks to the Fastbreak Festival II in April, 14th(-> see Live Eventualities).
Seems like another opportunity to spend the money, that i actually don't have, but can't hold me back to not give it to poor, little indie-bands.
yeah, I'm really looking forward to them.

Live Eventualities

I put up a new side element, called "Live eventualities", listing concerts, that have my maybe/possibly factor. Means: Concerts, I could probably go to, but am not quite sure about it, due to several reasons: No money, money not worth it, haven't thought about it yet,to far away, etc
Main reason was, that I didn't want to spend eacht time I see a cool concert date, a new post on it.
But still, as I was looking through the tour dates, I discovered "Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin" play in Wiesbaden. This is sooo cool, I can't describe it. I think, if I can convince my friend, this will be a set-date.
They deserve their own post, somehow.

Kings to Cologne

Kings Of Leon are coming!!
For some reason, that excites me, even though I somnehow refused to listen to their songs so far. I have some mp3s on this PC, but... I dunno.
Still, they're coming to Cologne, on July, the 2nd.
Place: E-Werk, Cologne
Tickets: ca 31 € (pretty expensive, I think)
Chance to go: we'll see
I have that akward wish, to buy myself a ticket and see them, but I dunno why. I've never really listened to them. Maybe, I should get their albums first, before I do something, I'll regret later. They're having an album coming out soon, called "Because of the times" or something like that.
I mean, 31€ is a bit heavy, innit?
I'll think about it.

Maximo Park are coming

to Wiesbaden in October. On the 22nd.Two Days before my birthday. Says this here.

This would be a really nice chance to see them again, because I adore their debut album "A Certain Trigger" and I'll surely love their new album, too. Plus, Wiesbaden is really close from my hometown, only 30 minutes away.
But(yes, there's always a but) as I'm planning my future(haha) I want to get away from here as soon as possible and the thought of being still kept here in October gets me depressed.

Cool band, definitely. Saw them last Thursday in Wiesbaden and they did a really nice show, evem though the played a little too short. I love their song "Low Mode", which I also have on my myspace page. They even have a nice video for that song:

Anyway, concerning youtube, I'm still in the search of that Family Guy scene, where Stewie disses Meg at the breakfast table. It was part of a Family Gy compilation , called something like "Meg owned" or "Poor Megan Griffin".It was really funny, that's why it's pissing me so off I cam't find it.
well, I have to go back and learn.
